[E'kayan closes his eyes as he's tucked under the Viera's chin, tears pricking at their corners as he stifles a little sniff.]

Yeah.

[No designs on dying, here, though E'kayan knows that despite his size and appearance he's far more sturdy than many of the people who have been brought to this place.

People like Erenville, who he now realises that he must protect.]

Takes more than a place like this to kill me off.

[His fingers continued to gently massage E'kayan's head, keeping it tucked under his chin as he let the Miqo'te's warmth lull him into drowsiness. The dull ache of his wound was nothing when next to E'kayan.]

I should perhaps start taking my seasonal powers training a little more seriously.

He rubs the side of his thumb along the other man's collarbone, watching the movement in quiet contemplation.]

It's different to any other magic I know. Black magic is... volatile, even with a soul crystal to guide me. Winter magic isn't like that.

[But he's close enough to the Viera to be distracted by him and he looks up, seeming momentarily lost in those golden eyes before he smiles and brings his hand up to brush against a curl of dark hair.

Ah, but he does, truly...

E'kayan shifts, and his lips meet Erenville's gently as his fingers stroke idly against one of the other man's long ears.]

[Any other question he had was lost once E'kayan's lips were against his. It didn't last as long he wanted.

He huffed quietly, but he also didn't stop the strokes to his ear. He normally wasn't fond of it, sensitive things that they are, but the miqo'te was always good at it. But it also wouldn't be fair since Erenville did much the same some days.]

Taking advantage of an injured person? My, I didn't think you had it in you.

[But he's being so gentle, see? The tips of his fingers rub tiny little circles against the base of the Viera's ear as he looks at him fondly.]

But I don't mind not having to crane my neck to get a kiss from you.

[His large ear twitched and swiveled from the touch. He chuckled quietly, grinning.]

I bet you wouldn't. Easier on my back as well.

In that case, we should probably do this more often.

[But he's still so very careful about where he puts his weight as he leans up for another kiss. E'kayan may be small, but his years of adventuring have made him a solid presence in spite of his size.]

[Erenville received the kiss easily enough this time, not quite surprised this time but still enjoying the feeling nonetheless.]
